Who we work for
eustream, Ltd.
Eustream transmits natural gas, which means that it provides uninterrupted flow of natural gas to European markets. Moreover, it operates and maintains compressor stations and linear parts of
transmission pipelines.
For eustream, YMS created a modern system for managing integrity of the pipeline, which consists of several modules connected via a yGate central portal. eustream thus uses GIS along with a digital archive of technical documentation, works digitally with technological schemes, monitors movement of naural gas during compressor starts and shutdowns and collects data from the field straight into laptops or PDAs. yPipe, a specialised module, helps anticipate, evaluate and solve a variety of pipeline risks, and thus helps to maintain a safe and reliable operation of the pipeline system. New additions to the system are TIS, a commercial information system and yForce, a module for managing workers in the field. TIS helps dispatchers trading gas and transmission capacieties to deal with customer and technical agendas, and yForce enables efficient communication and control of mobile workforce.
Slovak Water Management Enterprise
Slovak Water Management Enterprise maintains waterways, dams and the canal network including all tangible property built on them. It takes care of quality and quantity of ground and underground water, manages flood protection and creates shipping conditions. It operates throughout the country
via four branch plants.
For SWME, YMS created a complex centralised technical information system, which works for all four brach plants and supports all waterways in the territory of Slovakia. The system enables employees to access directly the maps of waterways and water reservoirs that are managed by the SWME and to all related documents. The system consists of several modules connected via the central yGate portal, which is the entering point for all users into the whole system. SWME's system contains GIS, several modules for working with the digital archive and metainformation and a mobile TIS module, which monitors water levels and automatically notifies of important water level changes and the reated flood-threat ratings.
State Veterinary and Food Administration
State Veterinary and Food Administration is the top state body responsible for protecting livestock health in Slovakia. It manages 8 regional veterinary and food administrations, 40 district veterinary and food administrations and 3 border veterinary stations. It provides direction to state veterinary
and food institutes.
For SVFA, YMS Group supplies a complex veterinary information system VIS, which operates as a common platform for all partners caring for health of livestock. VIS modernises, simplifies and organises the work of veterinary surgeons and moves the veterinary oversight to a completely new information and managerial level. It connects a variety of veterinary information from a variety of sources into one modern system, which is accessible online anywhere, including work in the field. It monitors livestock diseases and disease outbreaks and helps to prevent further proliferation by automatically putting farms with outbreaks into quarantine. It is linked with international veterinary information systems, with which SVFA contributes to better paneuropean control of livestock health.
Military Forests and Estates of Slovakia
Military Forests and Estates of Slovakia manage 72 800 ha of forest and agricultural land in military training areas of the Slovak Army, and yearly logg approximately 300 000 m3 of wood. It is the mission of the MFES to manage this land and the related natural resources efficiently,
ecologically and with long-term sustainability.
For MFAE, YMS created a system based on the most state-of-the-art mobile technologies, which contains several modules linked via the yGate central portal. Electronic circulation of documents is inevitable. MFAE works not only with active forest maps in the GIS system, but also mapps the terrain using GPS, collects data on logged wood electronically directly in the forest, operates an electronic record of wood and selects best wood-hauling spots by displaing forest terrain in 3D maps. Moreover, the system automatically calculates costs and generates invoices. MFAE now knows at any time what is going on in its territory, has perfect orientation in space, follows in detail how plans are being fulfilled and keeps a close eye on costs.
State Geological Institute of Dionyz Stur
State Geological Institute of Dionyz Stur is a state contributory science and research organisation of the ministry of environment. It performs geological research and archives results of geological works. Moreover, it is the SGIDS's responsibility to create and manage a geological information system, part of which is accessible to the public. SGIDS evaluates, trains, consults and advises, it processes background documentation for its ministry and other public institutions.
For SGDIS, YMS created a Geofond Archive system. SGIDS manages a large library of geological reports and evaluations, which used to be accessible only in their paper versions. Apart from the fact that it was very inconvenient for those, interested in reading geological data, this old-fashioned paper system was a drawback for SGIDS's employees, too. Completing tasks took a long time and this situation was economically unsustainable and technologically outdated. YMS Group created a thought-out digital archive based on the yPapers solution. The Geofond Digital Archive now enables comfortable browsing in a digital library, which is accessible to the public and enables modern full-text search. SGIDS employees have easy access to a central system, which is updated centrally and new data is collected electronically into a common database. Work processes are clean, communication across the organisation is simple, and quality and accessibility of information about the geofond now complies with the requirements of the digital age.
