Martin Bachorik, Managing Director
With dry feet through water and in black numbers through crisis
You became managing director in less than one year after joining the company. What was the biggest challenge for you when you took this position?
In the beginning it was a test for me. A test of own professional skills. I wanted to try it and see whether I am good enough for the job. However, I fully realised the degree of responsibility later, when the company was dealing with the impact of the economic crisis. After a difficult and unpleasant tideup we managed to transform the situation, use it for the company's benefit and seize a very good business result. For that the thankyou goes to all YMS Group employees. The first challenge thus was to clean up the company and make its processes transparent. The second one will be to make it grow - by innovating our products, services and especially thinking.
YMS Group managed to work its way up among strong compatition of international companies. What is your idea of upcoming company milestones?
During last year's company review we picked the solutions with the most market potential and we will develop them further. We want to move towards clever solutions that use the geographic information and mobile technology. I stick to the motto "simple is beautiful".
What motivates you in your daily work? And how do you motivate your people?
I always expected predominantly support from my bosses. Now I offer it to my colleagues. I would like to create maximum space to use the enormous human potential that we have in the company. And when I sometimes feel that I can not go on, I turn on the stereo and "let AC/DC rock in my office” :-)
