Autumn hardware innovations for yTrack

10.10.2008

The hardware portfolio for the Fleet Controlling yTrack solution was extended by a new YMS MU 502 tracking unit.

This resistant unit for tracking of vehicles beside standard equipment consisting of a GPS and GPRS modem also contains an input from a digital tachograph, a CAN/FMS system, 868 MHz radio and a set of universal I/O inputs and outputs.
Its application is suitable in all vehicles where tracking (and not comprehensive control) is required, and all this with above-standard use of information from the digital tachograph and CAN/FMS system. These additional functions increase the effectiveness of the whole solution, e.g. by a control of fuel consumption, generation of a book of trips fully corresponding with records from the digital tachograph, etc.

Another innovation is represented by Interface Extender (IE 504) for YMS MU 403 unit which extends the number of USB ports by another two ports and adds an interface for a digital tachograph and CAN/FMS system.

Another very useful extension of the yTrack solution is Wireless Sensor (WS 505) – a wireless device with a thermometer and two digital inputs suitable, for instance, for the securing of doors of a semi-trailer through door magnets, recording of the run-course of an additional aggregate, etc. The sensor works at the frequency of 868 MHz and a built-in battery assures power supply for at least one year. The sensor may be connected to all units of the family of products of YMS MU: MU403, MU501 and MU502.
