BizTalk communication?
Can you tell me whether BizTalk could communicate with our system via EDI EDIFACT Orders diagrams, version d97b?
BizTalk contains Base EDI Adapter that can process EDIFACT and X12 EDI standards.
As regards EDIFACT standard, supported diagrams include DESADV, INVOICS, INVRPTS, ORDERS, ORDRSP, PARTIN, PAYEXT, PRICAT, SLSRPT of d39a, d95a d95b d97b, d98a and d98b standard’s versions.
As for X12 standard, supported diagrams include 810, 832, 846, 850, 852, 856, 861, 864, 867, 940 and 944 of 2040, 3010, 3060 and 4010 standard’s versions (A detailed list of diagrams for each version, together with titles, is enclosed).
Base EDI Adapter does not support any main standard’s subset, e.g. EANCOM, ODETTE, or Inovert for EDIFACT, or VICS, WINS, UCS, TCIF for X12.
However, BizTalk can use the full EDI adapter provided by Covast corporation which has no limitations for the use of EDI.
Where, however, any subset is declared but none of its modifications is used, such subset can be removed prior to the processing, and then BizTalk will be able of working with such EDI format.
