GIS to Serve both Local Government and Citizens

23.2.2010

YMS Group is introducing a geospatial information system tailored for local governmentsySpatial – which combines geographic and non-graphic information about the City into one multi-layered system for both the government and the public to use. It aims to provide all information related to any selected object in the city with a simple click on the map.

ySpatial connects maps, aerial images, land use and zone plans with all available information about Cadastre, city assets and city buildings, utility infrastructure, all types of transportation, water areas and waterways, greenery and other objects. A click on the selected object reveals complete information on position, character, relationship to other objects, use, address with contact details or other information as needed.

„A state-of-the-art GIS is an invaluable asset to any local government. We have tailored the well-tested ySpatial to fulfill the needs of cities. Since we already supply a variety of state institutions with our geospatial information systems, taking on the local government market followed naturally“, said Martin Bachorik, the Managing Director of YMS a.s., a mother company of international YMS Group.

For the government, ySpatial creates a single geospatial information system for all departments to access, use and refer to. For the public, ySpatial offers a simple-to-use front office, which displays all public information online without the need to spend time processing it by the city government.

To tailor ySpatial for local governments, YMS Group utilised its twenty years of experience in developing a wide variety of geospatial information systems. The ySpatial is a strong information and analytical tool, which supports spatial operations, multimedia, advanced search, mapping and exporting operations, clarification of object relationships, anticipation of consequences of actions and other options. It can be easily integrated with other information systems.
