Not that many years ago truck drivers worldwide had golden times just after they left depot – nobody was able to track them down. Since an availability of GPS technology together with introducing GSM mobile communication a new monitoring systems had chance to succeed. After trucks hit the road, dispatchers could speak with them over mobile phones and monitor their movements over – at that time – offline GPS. Offline went on-line soon, altogether with development of internet and broadband connections, and it was the beginning of our era – while we can to chat or speak with drivers, over GPRS connections we can see real-time truck moves, it allows us to send documents, points of interest, locations or detailed orders and job tasks to drivers and vice versa.

Navigation is helping drivers to get to places where they need to get to, finds them the nearest gas station, service point or highway parking lot.
