SPP–preprava, a.s. (Slovak Gas Industry-Gas Transportation, Corp.) is daughter company of SPP, a.s. and is operator of natural gas transport network with length of 2270 km. Providing natural gas transport from Ukraine borders across territory of Slovakia to the European market, what represents 20% out of total natural gas consumption in EU.
Business Need/Reason
The problem was data fractionalized at single customer’s departments, non-communication between departments – working with individual data, without interference with data from the same region.
Solution Overview
Integrated Technical Information System ITIS for all technical engineers and technicians, input through common portal yGate provides identification and modeling of risk integrity points of gas corridor and optimization of maintenance and repair performance as well as diagnostic control intervals and pipeline inspections.
Results
Solution brought significant precision of gas pipeline failures localization, costs cut of maintenance and safe gas transport. Company achieved qualitative growth in communication and professional technical information providing to the state bodies, public administration and European Union institutions. We have unified and integrated the data in simple form by using latest web technologies in frame of company infrastructure.
