The TANAP national forest continues to build GIS
The Slovak Republic Tatra National Park forest (ŠL TANAP) has decided to continue cooperation with YMS Group's Trnava headquarters and to continue with the building of a geographic information system for the field of forestry.
The goal of the new phase of the GIS building is primarily to implement Forest Management, a specialized technical application, which will be used to localize selected forest cover in a map with connection to the registration data of the forest management plan. The implementation will also include an update of a data model and upgrade of already implemented YMS Group applications to newer versions.
ŠL TANAP is an allowance organization of the Slovak Republic Ministry of Agriculture. The organization is in charge of the administration and management of the forest land resources, buildings and equipment owned by the state in the territory of TANAP and PIENAP, and to provide for publicly beneficial activities within their protected zone.
