Business Need/Reason
Main problem was insufficient awareness of the community regarding the traffic aspect in Prague, non-existence of information channels, minimal possibility of data publication. High difficulty of acquirement to traffic information. Mostly they were provided “fractionalized” or were not provided at all.
Solution Overview
TSK Prague with the Traffic information system on-line is providing to users the actual traffic information through services of WEB, WEB for PDA, WAP, SMS and MMS. It is about endurance maps of the traffic density, tables with operation levels, photos of selected cameras, information about traffic restrictions/closures, and summary of free/reserved/occupied parking places.
Results
Thanks to integration of the traffic information from various data sources and their distributions to general public through the various information media we have enabled simplification of orientation in the capital so that a movement in it would be for a visitor simpler and more comfortable.
